🐱 CATurday at Only Dogs

One Day. All Cats. Endless Purrs.

For one very special day, the dogs are taking a well-earned break... because our salon belongs to the cats!

Our award-winning dog grooming salon in the heart of Lingfield is opening its doors exclusively to feline guests for CATurday – a specialist cat grooming clinic designed to help your cat look and feel their very best.

We've teamed up with the incredibly talented Alexis from Dainty Dogs Grooming, a specialist cat groomer with the experience, patience and gentle handling skills needed to care for even the most discerning feline clients.

This is a rare opportunity for local cat owners to access professional cat grooming without travelling long distances, and appointments are strictly by advance booking only.

"But... don't cats groom themselves?"

It's probably the biggest misconception we hear!

Yes, cats are wonderfully clean animals and spend a large part of their day grooming themselves. However, self-grooming can only do so much.

Many of today's pet cats have inherited thicker, denser or longer coats through generations of cross-breeding with long-haired breeds. These beautiful coats often become too much for cats to manage on their own.

As cats age, become overweight, develop arthritis or simply struggle to reach certain areas, grooming becomes even more difficult.

Professional grooming helps remove loose coat, tangles and knots before they become uncomfortable, allowing your cat to stay healthier, cleaner and much happier.

Long-Haired Cats

Long-haired breeds and crosses benefit enormously from regular professional grooming.

Without regular maintenance they can develop:

  • Painful matting
  • Tight knots that pull on the skin
  • Excessive moulting
  • Hairballs caused by swallowing loose coat
  • Difficulty keeping their coat clean

Regular grooming keeps coats beautifully maintained and far more comfortable.

Short-Haired Cats Need Grooming Too!

Professional grooming isn't just for fluffy Persians!

Even short-haired cats benefit from regular grooming by:

  • Removing dead coat
  • Reducing shedding around the home
  • Helping minimise hairballs
  • Stimulating healthy skin
  • Leaving coats glossy, soft and healthy
  • Allowing early detection of lumps, bumps or skin changes

Many owners are amazed by just how much loose coat comes out during a professional groom!

A Calm, Gentle Approach

Cats deserve specialist handling.

Alexis understands feline behaviour and works patiently, quietly and respectfully to make the grooming experience as stress-free as possible.

Every cat is treated as an individual, with their comfort and welfare always coming first.

A Note for Our Dog Customers

For this one special day, the salon will be open exclusively for cats. Our canine friends will be back enjoying the salon as usual the following business day—although we suspect they'll spend a while wondering where all that mysterious cat fur came from! 🐾

To discuss your cats needs or to book in, either message us or give us a call. If you can have a photo of your cat in their current condition this we’ll help us give an accurate quote and booking slot for your cats needs.
