Meet the Lingfield Grooming team
Chelle
Owner/Groomer
Say hello to Michelle, the heart and soul behind our grooming salon! A lifelong dog lover and qualified canine behaviourist, Michelle swapped boardrooms for barkrooms after a successful career in social care—deciding (quite wisely, we think) that dogs are just better company than humans!
With her City & Guilds qualifications proudly under her belt and her sights now set on achieving her ICMG certification, Michelle brings a rare blend of professionalism, passion, and puppy-whispering magic to the salon floor. Her calm, confident approach puts even the wiggliest of pups at ease—she truly speaks dog.
Michelle’s mission? To create a grooming experience that’s as stress-free and enjoyable for dogs as possible. Whether your pup is a showstopper or a scruffy sofa-surfing sweetheart, she treats every client like canine royalty.
With a warm smile, an encyclopedic knowledge of dog behaviour, and a soft spot for four-legged friends of all shapes and sizes, Michelle has created more than just a grooming salon—she’s built a second home for dogs (and their humans, too… we suppose!).

Eleanor
If you’ve ever wondered who’s behind those perfectly sparkling clean paws, look no further than Eleanor! As the Salons full time grooming assistant Eleanor is in charge of washing drying and getting the dogs clean and tidy ready for their groom. And doesn't she do it well!
When she’s not pampering pooches, Eleanor’s out at the stables with her other beloved animals—her six horses! A passionate equestrian, she spends her free time trotting through fields, perfecting her jumping form, and pretending she’s in a Hallmark movie.
Eleanor has a special place in her heart for spaniels—those soulful eyes, those floppy ears, that personality! In fact, she admits she loves dogs more than people… and honestly, who can blame her? But when asked her favourite breed, it can be only one, the Cane Corso.
With a cheerful spirit, a soft spot for slobbery kisses, and a brush always at the ready, Eleanor makes every dog feel like top dog. Whether your pup’s in for a quick wash or the full VIP treatment, they’re in paws-itively good hands!
🐾 Meet Keely – Our Level 2 Trainee Groomer
You might recognise Keely from behind the kitchen counter at the King Henry VIII pub in Hever, where she can usually be found creating culinary masterpieces. But when she joins us at Only Dogs, she's swapping kitchen creations for a very different kind of masterpiece… the four-legged, fluffy kind! 🐶✂️
Keely is currently working towards her Level 2 qualification in Dog Grooming, and we're delighted to have her learning her craft with us here at Only Dogs.
A lifelong dog lover, Keely has a particular soft spot for German Shepherds – clever, loyal, beautiful and, in Keely's eyes, pretty much perfect! 🐕❤️
Having recently moved to Lingfield with her fiancé, Keely is embarking on an exciting new chapter and looking to build a career doing something she genuinely loves. And what better career for a dog lover than one where your colleagues have four legs, wagging tails and absolutely no interest in answering emails?!
As a trainee, Keely is learning all the different aspects of professional grooming, from handling and bathing through to drying, clipping and finishing, while developing the most important skill of all – understanding the individual dog in front of her.
At Only Dogs, we believe grooming isn't simply about making a dog look fabulous. It's about creating a positive experience, working at the dog's pace and putting welfare at the heart of every groom. Our Level 2 trainees learn not just the technical skills of grooming, but the importance of kind, patient and thoughtful handling too.
So, while you may know Keely as the lady who can whip up something delicious in the kitchen, keep an eye out for her at Only Dogs as she learns to create a rather different sort of masterpiece – one waggy tail at a time! 🐾✨
We're excited to see where this new adventure takes her!
